FAQ's
Our 360 photo/video booth hire service provides you with the UK's best and only 360 Orb Air, professional hosts and the outstanding level of communication we are proud of.
We go the extra mile to make you smile
Why is the 360 Orb Air different from other booths?
There are so many reasons to list, but the Orb Air is revolutionary and so technologically advanced that it is difficult to compare with a traditional 360 'spinner' (standard booths are known as 'spinners' in the trade!).
Ours was designed by former Disney engineers that spent years perfecting the world's best 360 booth.
Here are a few of the main reasons:
- There is no platform to stand, unlike a standard 360 spinner. Our Orb Air doesn't need one!
- You can easily have 6, 8, 10 or more people in a single video.
- The camera spins overhead, on an extended arm, so there is a lot more space for people.
- There are 8 LED tubes illuminating the area that can mix 16 million colours!
- The lighting reacts to music if you want it to!
- The lighting is app controlled by our staff to generate the colours you want.
- A light also spins with the camera to ensure people in the centre are always brightly lit.
- The smoothness of the rotation is incredible due to how the motor system is designed.
- We can shoot on both a full HD Apple iPhone and a 4K capable Canon M50 DSLR camera.
- The Orb Air has a full overhead canopy (that can be branded subject to quotation).
- There are sidepanels that can also be fully branded (subject to quotation).
- There is a centre mat that can also be fully branded (subject to quotation).
- The speed of the rotating camera arm can be controlled by our staff.
- We use the world's best 360 software - known as Touchpix.
- We can shoot with different effects, Zoom to Slow Motion, Polaroid to Bounce, and more!
- We can operate on dual battery systems that we bring in the event of a power cut!
- We have an optional fog and bubble machine that even has LED lighting!
- We use a 40" LCD TV and an Apple TV unit that shows a slideshow of all the videos!
- The TV shows each video with a QR code that allows you to instantly download it!
- The list could be much longer, but everyone is always in awe of the 360 Orb Air!
Who are Craze Central?
We're a registered company in England & Wales, fully insured and professionals. We're not a one-man band. You're in the hands of people who have gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure everything we do is exercised with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Do we provide staff to operate the equipment?
Yes, 2 members of Craze Central staff, in branded clothing, will always attend and operate the 360 Orb Air video booth.
Can children go in the 360 Orb Air?
Yes, of course, we love to see children enjoy the Orb Air!
Is the 360 Orb Air really wheelchair accessible?
Yes, absolutely! Because there is no platform, anyone in a wheelchair or of limited mobility can enjoy the Orb Air. Furthermore, we can fit more than one wheelchair in the Orb Air at the same time!
How many people can fit in it at once?
Lots! In the USA, where the Orb Air was designed, the record is 19 people at once! However, most of those were small children, so we're not claiming you'll fit 19 fully grown adults in it! That said, you're unlikely to be disappointed with how much space is inside!
What happens if someone hits the camera when it is rotating?
The engineers thought of that! If anything slows or stops the camera arm when it is rotating, it automatically disconnects from the motor system. Once the obstacle has gone, it begins moving again - how clever is that?
How much space does the 360 Orb Air photo booth require?
Perhaps surprisingly, the Orb Air only needs around the same size as a traditional 360 spinner. We ask for a minimum of 12 ft x 12 ft floorspace and 9 ft of ceiling clearance.
We have our props table and a safety sign too, but it is very rare for venues not to be able to provide the space we need. However, it is unlikely the Orb Air will fit into a modern house room unless it has been designed with higher ceilings. Please check that you can accomodate 9 ft of ceiling clearance without household lighting getting in the way.
Do we need mains power and WiFi?
Yes, it is essential that we have nearby access to mains 240v power and reliable WiFi (at least 10mbps, preferably faster).
Whilst we have dual battery back-up power systems in the event of a power failure, this is not our standard method of operating and some features are limited without mains power.
Are we insured?
Yes, Craze Central have full public liability insurance (a copy of our insurance can be provided on request if you require it).
Can we provide bespoke video frames for recordings?
Yes. All customers can be provided with bespoke video frame designs that surround each of the videos recorded. These must be arranged in advance and are provided free of charge for both private and corporate clients. We can also accept your own designs if they are provided to us in the dimensions and format required (file specification is available upon request).
How much deposit is required?
All bookings are subject to a 25% deposit. If the date of your booked event is within 30 days of the date on which you book, payment is required in full.
When is full payment due?
All bookings must be settled in full 30 days prior to your event date.
Is food and/or drink allowed inside the 360 Orb Air?
No. For safety reasons, we cannot permit food or drink to be taken into the 360 Orb Air at any time.
Can the 360 Orb Air be situated outside?
If pre-agreed, and weather conditions permit, we can situate the 360 Orb Air outside during some months of the year. However, this is always subject to prior agreement and under the following conditions:
- The weather must be dry with no forecast rain and if a Craze Central host has any concerns, at any point prior or during the event, we will relocate the equipment to a pre-agreed indoor space.
- There must always be a pre-agreed indoor space or you accept that, if a Craze Central host says we can no longer operate outside, the event will cease on their instruction if they have any weather concerns.
- Mains power and WiFi must still be provided.
- No refund can be provided if the weather does not permit the 360 Orb Air to be situated outside and you have not agreed an alternative indoor space.
- The final decision as to whether the 360 Orb Air can be situated outside is that of Craze Central Ltd and/or the Craze Central hosts. We will not enter into discussion on this matter.
Can you hire the 360 Orb Air photo booth for a public event?
Yes. We attend all kinds of events and welcome hiring of the 360 Orb Air by community organisations and/or other organisation events where members of the general public will be attending. Please note that all those who use the 360 Orb Air will be subject to the rules of entry and Craze Central staff can refuse to allow access to the Orb Air to anyone that does not abide by these rules, or ask anyone inside the Orb Air to leave if they break the rules of our hire agreement or safety rules. The hirer is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the safety of our staff and equipment is not compromised at any time and will be held liable for any damage to our equipment regardless of who causes the damage (with the exception of Craze Central staff).
Can the 360 Orb Air be hired for anywhere in the United Kingdom?
Yes, subject to quotation outside of our stated North East postal areas, we will bring the experience of the 360 Orb Air to mainland areas of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We cannot currently serve the Scottish Highlands & Islands regions.
If you'd like a quotation for the Orb Air availability in your area, please use this form.
Is a 360 video booth worth it?
Yes! A 360 video booth, and in particular the 360 Orb Air, provides a unique experience that allows you to capture video footage in a way that most other traditional forms of photography do not. It takes moments in time and changes them into memories for a lifetime!
What is the difference between a 360 photo booth and 360 video booth?
There is no difference between a 360 photo and 360 video booth. Generally, it is simply differences in how people refer to the same type of technology.
However, a "photo booth" (without the "360") is a different type of equipment that only produces static prints/photographs, not video footage.
Do we use video footage or photographs taken for our own promotional purposes?
We use public event footage for our own marketing/promotional purposes. However, if you book with us, we will always have asked the hirer if we are permitted to use your event footage. At public events, if you don't want your photograph/video to be used in this way, please let a member of Craze Central staff know when you use the 360 Orb Air.
What are the rules for people that use the 360 Orb Air photo booth?
Our rules are as follows:
- Do not enter or exit the Orb Air until instructed to do so by the hosts.
- Children must have a parent/guardian present at all times.
- Stay on the centre mat until the host signals to you it is safe to leave.
- Ensure your arms and props are kept clear of the spinning camera arm.
